Yesterday, ASK ESP President Janet Sanders and Assistant Superintendent Mary Cadez signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the current (ongoing) budget crisis. To accommodate our pro rata share of the shortfall, we agreed to take four unpaid days: Thursday, November 11, 2010 (Veteran’s Day); Friday, April 15, 2011; Friday, May 27, 2011;, Monday, May 30, 2011 (Memorial Day.) Bus driver insurance benefit rate calculation will not be affected by unpaid days.

If revenues increase, we will not regain these days; the funds will roll into the ending fund balance to offset anticipated shortfalls in the 2011-2012 school year.

The District agreed to an increase of $60.00 per month for our health insurance.

Discussions will resume if budget shortfall continues to craft a new agreement if there are significant changes.
